
Procurement and Product Costing Manager
Minimum requirements:
- BCom degree/Diploma in Procurement / Supply Chain / Similar qualification
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a procurement role
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Experience in advanced procurement – managing end of life cycle and absolute inventory
- Own transport

Duties and Responsibilities include; but not limited to:
Procurement
- Manage procurement of all applicable items required (e.g raw materials, packaging materials etc)
- Ensure competitive supplier pricing
- Drive product development & provide procurement for raw materials
- Strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers to ensure low procurements expenses
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with key persons in different departments to ensure clarity of the specifications and standards expected from the company
- Liaise with other parts of the business and make strategic decisions relating to stock holding.
- Conduct monthly stock control meeting
Service delivery
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
- Ensure proper supplier management in terms of pricing, product & service level agreements
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Examine and test existing contracts, manage contracts for transport
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements – check credentials, references from industry partners, etc
Financial
- Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs (monthly meetings)
- Finalise purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Manage invoices and follow up on Purchase orders
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness and waste management
